Measured, not promised.
Skincare for people of color has run on promises for decades. We run on panels. Every figure on this page names the panel size, the duration and the exact question asked, and publishes only when a panel completes.
Panel 01. 30 people with Fitzpatrick types IV to VI, ages 18 to 65, following the full ritual for 4 weeks. Self-reported questionnaire scored by an independent testing lab. Week 8 results follow.
Agreed dark marks and uneven tone looked visibly reduced
Panel 01 · Week 4Agreed skin stayed hydrated through the full day with no ashiness
Panel 01 · Week 4Agreed texture felt smoother and pores looked clearer
Panel 01 · Week 4Agreed the ritual caused no stinging, redness or new breakouts
Panel 01 · Week 4Figures publish here with the lab name and report date the day the panel closes.
Dark marks on deeper skin fade slowly. A four-week panel shows comfort, hydration and early tone change. An eight-week panel shows the marks themselves. We run both, and we publish both, whatever they say.
Panels are recruited from people with Fitzpatrick types IV to VI only. Results are never pooled with lighter skin types, and a claim is never worded differently from the question the panel was asked.
What a real result looks like.
A percentage on its own means nothing. These are the four things every Afri-Skin figure carries with it.
What we will report
The questions are fixed before the panel starts. They do not change afterwards.
About the numbers
Why are there no percentages yet?
Because the first panel has not finished. Most brands in this category publish supplier figures from lighter-skin panels and present them as their own. We would rather show you an empty slot than a borrowed number.
What counts as a result?
A percentage of panelists who agreed with a fixed statement after a fixed time, scored by someone who is not us. The statement you see on this page is the statement they were asked, word for word.
Can I join a panel?
Yes. Panels are recruited from the newsletter list first. Sign up below and reply to the panel call when it comes.
